Itinerary:
Rio
Arrive in Rio de Jainero and transfer to hotel. This day is at your leisure, with the option to relax on the beautiful Copacabana, Ipanema, or Leblon beaches, and take in the sights of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Rio
Explore Sugar Loaf Mountain with a guided tour, which begins with a scenic drive along the Copacabana and Ipanema, Rio's famous beaches. Then you'll take a cable car ride to the Urca Mountain for a tour of its gardens and vistas. You'll continue the ascent to the peak of Sugar Loaf Mountain. At 1,300 feet, you can see Rio's southern coastlines and the gigantic cliffs of Guanabara Bay.
Rio
You have the full day at your leisure, with the option to take a guided tour to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer Statue. To get there you'll travel through downtown Rio to the base of Corcovado. From there you'll board the cograil train that will take you through the Tijuca Rainforest, the world's largest urban forest, and then to the top of the mountain. At the peak is the 125 ft. statue of Christ the Redeemer. The views of the ocean, city, and lagoon are spectacular. After some time exploring the mountain and enjoying the beautiful vistas, you will begin your descent and transfer to your hotel.
Rio
Today you'll have the opportunity to explore more of Rio, with the option of taking an additional tour of Petropolis, a quaint colonial town set against a backdrop of beautiful countryside. Here you can visit the old cathedral and the Summer Palace of Brazil's first emperor, Dom Pedro II, which is now a museum that holds the finest art, jewels, and tapestries from the Empire.
Rio / Iguassu Falls
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls; transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls. Stroll around catwalks and admire the beauty and abundance of one of the world's great natural wonders, spanning over two and a half miles across, with 275 separate cataracts.
Iguassu Fall / The Pantanal
After breakfast, you will tour the Argentine side of the Falls. Continue to the viewing platform overlooking the roaring Devil's Throat, the main Falls, from where the Iguassu River precipitates. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuiaba in the Pantanal.
The Pantanal
After breakfast in hotel, you will be picked up at hotel for transfer to the eco-lodge in the heart of the wilderness.
Reception, accommodation, dinner await you at the lodge.
This is your fist day out of 5 days/4 nights at the lodge. Package includes accommodation, full board, and all tours and transfers with an English-speaking guide.
The Pantanal
After breakfast, go for ecological trek in the nearby area, with the opportunity to observe the local fauna and flora.
Return to lodge for lunch. After lunch, take a boat trip or a photo safari.
Return for dinner at the lodge.
The Pantanal
After breakfast, take a tour in motorized canoe. Your guide will take you piranha-fishing.
Return for lunch at the lodge.
Take a tour by car to Transpantaneira road for Alligator spotting.
Return for dinner at the lodge.
The Pantanal / The Amazon
After breakfast at the pousada, transfer to Cuiaba airport for your flight to Manaus.
Upon arrival in Manaus, transfer to the eco-lodge of your choice. Your stay at the eco-lodge is 3 days and includes accommodation, full board, and all tours with English-speaking guide.
The Amazon
Breakfast, followed by a nature-hike.
After a regional lunch and a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents (caboclos) with an opportunity for piranha fishing.
Dinner and evening tour by canoe for Alligator Spotting. Overnight at lodge.
The Amazon / Salvador de Bahia
Breakfast at the lodge and visit to the Jungle Monkey before your 11:30am check-out and transfer to Manaus. Arrive at Tropical Hotel pier at 12 noon and transfer to the airport.
Take a flight to Salvador de Bahia. This city is famous for its beautiful beaches, Bahian cuisine, colonial architecture, and thriving music scene. After you transfer to your hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Salvador de Bahia
Today you will be taken on a city tour of the Upper and Lower neighborhoods of Salvador. Here you'll see beautiful colonial architecture, including cobblestone streets, and the San Francisco Church that was built in baroque style. You will also visit the Carmo Museum, the Paraca da Se Church, and the Mercado Modelo Market. After the city tour the rest of the day is at your leisure, with the option to relax on the beach or explore more of the city on your own.
Salvador de Bahia
Enjoy more of the relaxation at the resort of your choice.
Departure
You will be taken to the airport for your flight to Rio, where you'll be connected with your international flight home.
