To fully enjoy the revelry of the Carnival, join in the multitude of festivities and celebrations. Each day of this tour brings another element of Carnival alive.
Trip Itinarary
Friday - February 16th
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You are welcomed by an AR Tourism Brazil host who picks you up at the airport and transport you to your hotel. After arriving at your hotel, take a rest and prepare for the evening. Friday night events include the Cinelandia Ball, Red and Black Ball at Scale, and the Gay Balls at Le Boy. The Cinelandia Ball begins early while the other balls have a later start time ensuring that you will be dancing the night away.
Saturday - February 17th
Make sure to have a hearty breakfast at the hotel because both the day and night are full of activities. Street parades begin early with Cordao de Bola Preta Street Band. The afternoon continues with the Banda de Ipanema. Join in the with the band, dancing in the streets of Ipanema. The evening offers a costume competition at the Hotel Gloria or the most elegant of the Carnival Balls held at the Copacabana Palace. Other balls continue at Scala and Le Boy.
Sunday - February 18th
The Samba Parade begins this morning, so eat up and prepare for another day of non-stop action. Go to the Sambodrome for the all-night event, the Samba Parade. See the best of the local Samba Schools and dance along with the rhythms of the must. If you tire of the parade, Balls continue at Scala and Le Boy.
Monday - Feb 19th
The Samba Parade continues today. Join in more dancing and partying at the Sambodrome. Scala and Le Boy are still open for Carnival Balls for a change of scenery from the Sambodrome.
Tuesday - Feb 20th
Take the morning off from Carnival for resting or taking in some of Rio's local sites. Begin your afternoon with Banda de Ipanema who welcome all who want to dance and groove to the music. The Samba Parade continues with the Group B of Samba Schools performing. Scala hosts a Gay Costume Ball for all who want to dress up and share their creativity.
Wednesday - February 21
After a farewell breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported to the airport to take
your flight home or towards your next destination.
