Visit the world's biggest Eco-system
The Brazilian Amazon is an unforgettable land of adventure and legend. This jungle and surrounding rivers are one of the world's last great unexplored frontiers, home to the most diverse collection of wildlife and vegetation on earth. In this fabled place giant trees grow up to 200 feet tall, vast rivers snake through pristine forests, and indigenous Indians survive unaffected by the outside world.
There are many jungle tours and cruises available to bring guests into the heart of this magical environment. Located in the midst of the world's largest rainforest, the bustling city of Manaus is the starting point for most explorations of the Amazon region.
The Amazon Highlights:
Stay at Amazonian Eco-Lodge:
These superb lodges are located on the banks of the Rio Negro providing guests with the singular experience of living in perfect harmony with nature. Typically accessible only by water, the more deluxe lodges are luxuriously equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, swimming pools and restaurants. There are also numerous lodges that offer simpler accommodations while still ensuring a comfortable stay.

Cruise the Amazon River:
River cruises offer one of the best way to see the Amazon. Some boats are quite basic, while others offer more amenities, such as air conditioning and fine dining. There are two options for exploring the Rio Negro: upstream into the heart of the untouched jungle, or downstream to experience the natural phenomenon known as the "meeting of the waters."
